Futsal is the format of Small Sided Football and as a small-sided game players are constantly placed in situations where they must receive or play whilst under pressure or in confined spaces and it places considerable demand on technique, movement, tactical awareness and fitness.
The Secondary School Girls Futsal Competition is made up of 2 Leagues in the North and South of the County. Competitions run at 3 age groups with winners of North and South Leagues contesting for the overall championship.
As an added incentive County winners are invited to take part in the National Futsal Finals in Sheffield in July.
In 2007 St. Mary's U16s Team won the Herefordshire League and qualified for the National Finals where they were also crowned National Champions!
