On Wednesday 12th March, St. Paul's Primary School hosted the finals of the Primary School Girls Winter League.
Following completion of their Pool League games in which Trinity, St. Francis Xavier, St. Paul's and St. Mary's, Credenhill were the eventual winners, these teams met to contest the 2008 Championship.
St. Paul's were the eventual winners defeating Trinity in the final and successfully retaining the winners trophy for the second successive year.
The final was a fantasitc game, with both teams showing creativity, team work and enthusiasm. The quality of football reflected the impact that the FA are having on the development of talented female footballers through their grassroots development programmes.
18 teams took part in the competition, engaging 180 girls and 13 Clubs who were on hand to provide information about exit routes for those not already participating outside of the school environment.
