PLACES AVAILABLE - Girls Football Skills Centre at Ledbury Leisure Centre

The Herefordshire FA is re-launching its Girls Football Skills Centre on Monday 8th February at John Masefield School (Astroturf)  from 6.00pm - 7.00pm for girls aged between 5 and 11 years of age.

WHAT IS A SKILLS CENTRE?

As part of the Football Association’s drive to raise standards in 5-11 year old players, a new coaching opportunity has arisen to affect the long term development of the game.
Not only will players develop their skills with a football but they will also develop skills that will make them an all round better sports person.
This might include learning to run, catch, jump or dodge better, as well as improving their agility, balance and coordination skills.

WHO DOES THE COACHING?

The Skills Centre will be delivered by FA Qualified coaches who have experience of working with young children. All coaches have undergone First Aid training and have a CRB in place.

CAN MY DAUGHTER GO ON AND PLAY FOR A CLUB?

The Skills Centre is being delivered in partnership with Ledbury Swifts Football Club (Charter Standard) who are trying, with support from the HFA, to develop their existing opportunities for girls in the Ledbury are to participate in football on a regular basis. The Club currently offer opportunities for girls at U10 and U12 to participate regularly and are looking to build on this between now and next season.

IS THERE A COST?

There is a small cost to attend the Skills Centre which goes towards covering the cost of the facilities, coaching and equipment. The Skills Centre is registered to the Herefordshire Football Association.
