What is Herefordshire FA Youth Council?

The Herefordshire FA Youth Council were formed last season to help deliver a variety of projects and programmes which support the FA National Game Strategy, The Children and Young People Network as well as support young volunteers on the FA Football Futures Programme.

Young people are the future of our game; our future players and our future workforce. Therefore it’s vital we engage and retain them in football from an early age to secure the future of football. The Herefordshire FA Youth Council act as a representative body for children and young people in County whilst providing a crucial link to The FA National Youth Council. They aim to inspire, empower and provide a voice for all children and young people to influence change, and develop a lasting legacy in football.

If you are aged 16-24 and have a passion for volunteering in football this is an opportunity for you!

You will need to:

• Be committed to attending and actively participating in all Herefordshire FA Youth Council monthly meetings (Dates of these meeting TBC)

• Be able to deliver and attend various football events throughout the season related to The Herefordshire FA Youth Council Project Pathway

• Register to The Herefordshire FA Football Futures Programme

• Be willing to complete the FA CRC process

Applicants will be asked to attend an interview which will take place during an agreed date in late August, that will take place at The Herefordshire FA Offices, Widemarsh Common, Hereford, HR4 9NA
