Summer Veterans League

Thought your playing days were over? Is Work preventing you from playing? If so, The Herefordshire FA has just the thing to reinvigorate your playing…

More and more people are looking to continue playing football into their mid thirties and beyond but more often than not, work or other commitments prevent them from playing.

As a result, The Herefordshire FA are looking to setup a summer Veterans League that will provide a flexible format targeted at players 35 years and older who no longer play football, or get together for an occasional friendly kick about.

The league will provide an 11-a-side fixture twice a month and shorter games which are only 35-minutes each way, the league will also include the use of repeat substitutions.

The cost will be £5 per player/per game based on a squad of 16.  The HFA Summer Veterans League will also provide the following;

  •          Teams may have 2 players aged 35 – 39 and the rest of the team must be 40 years or older.
  •          6 x fixtures  (35 minutes each way)
  •          Games will be played at Hereford Academy on the 3G surface
  •          Includes affiliation and public liability insurance
  •          The competition winner will receive a trophy and runners up will receive medals.

The games will take place on the following dates;

May 26th
June 9th
June 23rd
July 7th
July 21st
