The Herefordshire FA Youth Council are recruiting new members ahead of the 2018/19 season

What is The Herefordshire FA Youth Council?

The Herefordshire FA youth council is a small team of diligent individuals looking to recruit new members for the upcoming season. We are seeking passionate young volunteers aged between 16 – 24 who are committed to working as part of a team.

Being part of our team provides you with the opportunity to work with young people and develop personal attributes such as communication, teamwork, social skills and presentation skills. Perseverance throughout challenges is a quality in which our small team presents, however we believe that we would benefit and strive further with the inclusion of new recruits.

Our main contribution towards football in the County is offered by supporting the delivery of events alongside the Herefordshire FA development team. We value the relationship between youth and adult partnerships within the community, thriving off the development of inclusion.

The current Youth Council team is made up of individuals from various backgrounds across Herefordshire who have all been recognised as dedicated volunteers, motivated to providing opportunities for other young people to participate in football but also committed developing themselves as leaders of the beautiful game.

New Football Development Officer Scott Russell is passionate about the role of the HFA Youth Council and said "The Herefordshire FA Youth Council has a massive role to play in the development of the local game. We are looking for like-minded individuals from any background or involvement in football to join the council and help shape the future of youth football in Herefordshire."

What are we looking for?

We are looking for young people who are passionate about football and the development of the game. The individual must be committed with passion and energy and able to contribute fresh ideas as part of a team. We believe that being part of our team is a positive and rewarding experience, due to working alongside peers with goals and aspirations similar to your own. The individual must be committed to attending regular meetings and events throughout the season.

Being part of our small team can lead to a number of great opportunities. Past members have had the opportunity to be involved in the FA National Leadership Academy which is held each year over a week long period at the national home of football, St. Georges Park. Volunteering also looks great on your CV and will help develop valuable skills!
