Herefordshire FA Update 24th March

COVID-19 Update: 24th March

Please read the below update on our position in relation to the latest government advice on COVID-19

Following the latest guidance from the Government in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic, we would like to issue the following update to our position.

All team training must now be cancelled until further notice. This is in addition to the existing suspension of all grassroots and professional football. The Herefordshire FA offices and AGP facility will also be closed from today for at least the next 3 weeks or until government guidance changes. All staff will continue working from home and remain contactable; if you need to get in touch with a member of the team please click here for contact details. If your club, league or organisation is struggling as a result of the suspension on football and accompanying uncertainty, then you can let us know here.

This is a difficult and challenging time for us all, and we request everyone follows the government advice to stay home in order to protect themselves, others and the NHS. Any exercise including football should be done alone or with members of your household only. The FA will be releasing daily activities and challenges at 2pm on twitter and we will continue to provide and share different ways for people to remain active and engaged in football during this period of self-isolation.

Please remember to stay safe and look after those close to you, we refer anyone who may be struggling with their mental health to these excellent resources produced by MIND. The team at Herefordshire FA will also remain available as always to talk with members of the local football community during this period of uncertainty.

Please keep an eye on our website, facebook and twitter for future updates.
