HFA FA For All

George Leyshon-James Joins the HFA

We are delighted to welcome George Leyshon-James to Herefordshire FA

George Leyshon-James has joined the team as Football Development Officer (Women & Girl's). He brings a wealth of experience and is looking forward to working with the county clubs and volunteers. George introduces himself below.

I have joined the team having spent the last 7 years working within the leisure industry, specifically as part of the customer service team, alongside this I have over 10 years coaching experience both locally within Development Centres and in America for Global Premier Soccer.

Born and raised in the county I have played grassroots football for several Herefordshire clubs, I also enjoyed playing BUCS and grassroots football whilst studying Sports Coaching and Sciences at the University of Cheshire. My first memories of football were attending Villa Park and I have been an Aston Villa supporter ever since.

My role within the HFA will be to predominantly oversee the development of the Women’s & Girls side of the game, including assuming the role of Head of Centre for our Girls PDC, alongside several other duties.

As a lifelong football fan, coupled with my passion for my home county I am looking forward to working with everyone to help grow and develop the game locally. Feel free to contact me if you have anything you wish to discuss on either 01432342179 or George.Leyshon-James@HerefordshireFA.com.
