Girls and Womens Football

With almost three million active female players, football is the biggest women’s team sport in England. Herefordshire FA are committed to supporting girls’ and women’s football by developing more opportunities for females to get involved as players, volunteers, coaches or referees. Whether you’re a beginner who has never played, a current player who is playing regularly, or an ex-player wanting to get back involved, there are opportunities for everyone.

Have you been inspired by the Lionesses and their performances in the UEFA European Championships this summer? Visit our special Euro Celebrations page for info on how you can show your support and start your journey to becoming a lioness!

Herefordshire FA organises and supports a variety of different opportunities to play in both a recreational or competitive setting; regardless of your age or ability. These include structured club football as part of the Herefordshire Girls Football League, player development and training through FA Skills and the Player Development Centre, and recreational/social football with programmes such as Football Mash Up and Soccercise.
