Community Football Centre Manager

Salary: Up to £16,848 (pro-rata)
Location: Herefordshire FA offices, County Ground, Widemarsh Common, Hereford
Hours of work: Mondays to Fridays 6pm – 10pm, some weekend cover essential with working hours to be confirmed (16-20 hours per week).

Herefordshire FA is the Governing Body for football in Herefordshire. Our role is to develop, promote and support football in the county. We organise and administer competitions, leagues and cups for our clubs, grow participation, educate coaches and referees, provide help and advice and much more.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the team in a key position of Community Football Centre Manager, due to the opening of our new 3G pitch.

We are seeking applications from individuals with a background in and good understanding of facility management, together with operational / staff management experience, and an interest in helping us develop a fantastic customer experience for users of our brand new facility.

Key responsibilities of this role are to:

  • Be responsible for the opening, closing and general security of the facility.
  • Coordinate and prepare all facility requirements to ensure an outstanding customer experience.
  • Manage the bookings process with the Football Administration Officer.
  • Ensure that users of the facility adhere to the HFA health and safety and safeguarding policies and other requirements e.g. appropriate footwear.
  • Provide qualitative and quantitative statistics on usage and customer insight.
  • Work with the casual staff to deliver great first impressions and customer journey expectations.

Marketing & Communications Officer

Shared Post between Herefordshire, Shropshire & Worcestershire Football Associations

Fixed Contract (Initial term ends 30 June 2021- continuation post this date is subject to funding)

Salary: £23k - £25k dependent upon experience (37.5 Hours per week)

We are seeking to recruit a Marketing & Communications Officer to raise the profile of the organisations and support the delivery of The FA National Game Strategy.

This position is responsible for developing, managing and maintaining County FA websites ensuring that they remain a central resource for the dissemination of information as well as the strategic co-ordination of both County FAs social media channels.

The role profile will require this individual: -

  • to lead, manage and develop the marketing and communications operation across each CFA network and to build and maintain appropriate partnerships to support the ongoing development of the three CFAs
  • to support the delivery of the National Game Strategy and Business Plan across both CFAs network
  • to promote the established football hubs in Herefordshire, Shropshire and Worcestershire
  • to provide high quality customer service and attention to detail

This individual must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the role and how their expertise and experience will enable them to meet the essential and desirable criteria within the role.

As this is a shared post it will require the successful applicant to work across all 3 sites each week.

Hours of work are 37.5 hours Monday to Friday with occasional evening and weekend working. The position will receive 25 days annual holiday and a salary in the range of £23,000-£25,000 per annum, with a three month probationary period.

The County FA network takes the safeguarding and protection of children and adults at risk seriously and anyone working with us will be required to follow the County FA Safeguarding policy and Safeguarding Operating Standards.

HFA Site Maintenance Supervisor

Salary: Competitive
Location: Herefordshire FA offices, County Ground, Widemarsh Common, Hereford
Hours of work: Part time (8hours per week)

Herefordshire FA are welcoming applications for a site maintenance supervisor to oversee and implement the maintenance of the Herefordshire FA's AGP and associated facilities at the County Ground. The successful candidate will:

  • Provide regular maintenance to the 3G surface following manufacturer’s guidelines to ensure sufficient quality, safety of participants, and adherence to appropriate test standards e.g. FIFA
  • Ensure that all equipment is cleaned, checked, maintained and stored correctly
  • Maintain the grass, fencing and car park areas surrounding the 3G pitch and address any issues as they arise
  • Ensure the general site is kept in a presentable condition.
  • Ensure compliance with HFAs health and safety policies and risk assessments
  • Undertake additional tasks as required in order to meet HFA’s changing maintenance priorities.
