Herefordshire FA Veterans League

The Herefordshire FA has regularly run an 11 v 11 Veterans League every summer since 2013. After a brief hiatus in 2016 we are looking to bring back the popular league for players aged over 35 in 2017.

Played in a fun and friendly environment the league offers the ideal opportunity for veteran players to get back into playing football outside of the commitment of regular adult football. Teams will play each other twice over the course of the season with the winning team taking home the Herefordshire FA Veterans League Trophy.

There will be a degree of flexibility to fixtures allowing the league to fit alongside any other commitments and this helped the league prove popular in the past. Previously matches have taken place every other Sunday throughout the summer months on the 3G pitch at Hereford Academy, but we are open to changing this to fit the player’s requirements if needed. With rolling substitution and 80 minute matches (40minutes each half) there is plenty of time to catch your breath back if needed. Furthermore, rather than collecting weekly subs, there is just a one off fee to enter a team at the start of the season which covers everything from referees to affiliation and facilities.

We are looking for teams and players to take part in the 2017 competition. You can enter a team with your mates or just sign up as an individual and we can place you in a local team, either way we want to hear from you!
