Herefordshire FA Youth Council Young People Here Programme

HFA Youth Council Launch Youth Leadership Programme

Young People to be given the opportunity to develop their Leadership Skills

Herefordshire Football Association and their youth council will be giving young leaders aged between 14-16 the chance to develop their leadership skills in 2021.

Young People Here will provide 3 workshops and a bespoke mentoring programme that will be led by the staff of Herefordshire FA. The Youth Council will be leading workshops and supporting the mentoring programme, however, the 3 workshops will focus on different areas of leadership.

There will be a number of challenges and competitions run alongside this virtual programme as the youth council want those participating in the programme to get as much out of it as they possibly can. The programme will give young people the opportunity to develop their skills whilst gaining practical experience working within football.

The programme is scheduled to take place once a month on Monday evenings and will officially be launched on Monday 18th January 2021.

Dan Hoskins, Project Lead & Youth Council Vice Chair said: “This is an opportunity of a lifetime for young leaders in Herefordshire who are aged between 14 and 16 years of age. This is a brand new project for 2021 that is being run for young people by young people and I urge anyone interested to get involved. “

The Youth Council would like thank the team at Herefordshire FA for their support in making Young People Here a reality during these uncertain times.
