Earlier this month we welcomed a new addition to the team
January saw a new addition to the Herefordshire FA team with Ben Archer joining as our Football Administration Officer.
We are delighted to welcome Ben to the team and we know he is looking forward to working with the county clubs and volunteers.
Born and raised locally in Hereford Ben has been involved in local football the majority of his life. From participating in the Herefordshire Junior league through to the men’s Herefordshire County League as well as developing a 16 year coaching career which provided opportunities in London with Fulham FC and numerous years in USA.
Ben’s role will involve many areas including overseeing the bookings for the brand new HFA Artificial Grass Pitch however a big focus will be providing administration support to clubs within the men’s county league, organising the fixtures and players registrations.
Talking of his new role Ben explains;
‘I’m really looking forward to the new challenge at the Herefordshire FA, being around football on a daily basis is something I’ve always wanted, while the team at the HFA create a great environment to work in and have been brilliant in welcoming me which makes it an exciting opportunity. I will be aiming to support the county and its clubs in continuing their development of football allowing the best possible experiences when playing the game.’
Ben will be available in the HFA offices Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm.
