SSAFA Herefordshire confirmed as lead Super 6 partner

SSAFA Herefordshire extends its partnership with the HFA to cover small-sided leagues

As reported recently, the HFA and SSAFA Herefordshire, the Armed Forces Charity, have entered into a three-year partnership, with the HFA’s soon to be refurbished premises becoming known as the HFA SSAFA County Ground.

The HFA is delighted to confirm that this partnership has now been extended to cover the HFA’s small-sided football competitions over the same three-year period, with these becoming known as the HFA SSAFA Super 6’s.

Alan Darfi, HFA CEO said ‘’It is fantastic that we have been able to extend the partnership with SSAFA Herefordshire, the Armed Forces Charity, to cover the Super 6 Leagues. With over 60 teams playing on a Monday, Thursday and Sunday evening on the 3G pitch at the Academy in Hereford, hopefully this extension will provide yet another opportunity to showcase the excellent work SSAFA Herefordshire does to support members of the Armed Forces community, whatever challenges they are facing’’

Tim Howson, Chair of SSAFA Herefordshire said “This exciting partnership shows our support for the brilliant work done by the HFA in bringing the benefits of organised sport to the wider community. It will also give us excellent opportunity to grow awareness of our work in Herefordshire for all those in the Armed Forces community, serving or veteran, and their families.”
