The HFA is delighted to announce a new partnership with the Hereford Lions FC, with the organisation providing player of match trophies for the 2023-24 season, in the HFA Giantkillers, Youth (U16 Boys), U16 Girls and U14 Girls cup competitions.

Kevin Morris, Hereford Lions FC said ‘it is great to partner with the HFA to support their cup competitions across the youth sections.

Hereford Lions FC have a longstanding friendship with VV Brederodes and VV Lekvogels in the Netherlands which has existed since the early 1970s.

This has seen teams representing Herefordshire participate in the International Youth Tournament in Vianen every year over Pentecost weekend. We have taken U13, U15, U17 and U19 boys’ teams and in recent years the tournament has been extended with inclusion of U15 girls.

Every October we welcome VV Brederodes and VV Lekvogels to Hereford with them rotating every year. Since the very first tournament nearly 3000 children have represented Hereford Lions FC at the International Youth Tournament in the Netherlands’.
