DESIGNATED SAFEGUARDING OFFICER

Fixed Term Contract until 30th June 2024 (please note all HFA contracts are fixed term contracts and as a core role it is highly likely this role will be extended)

Hours per week:        20 hours

We are excited to offer a unique opportunity to join our team and make a real impact, as a Designated Safeguarding Officer

Herefordshire FA is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, driven and highly organised individual manage the Herefordshire FA’s safeguarding work, in line with legislation, FA safeguarding policy, procedures, regulations, standards and guidance.

The job holder will significantly contribute to implementing and maintaining The FA’s Safeguarding 365 Standard for County FAs and driving safer practice and culture in grassroots football.

This fantastic opportunity reports directly to the CEO/Senior Safeguarding Lead and offers the right candidate the chance to drive a culture of excellence.

You must be able to work under pressure, handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines. You will also have experience of safeguarding in a professional setting. Experience of football is not required, but a willingness to understand the local game is.

INDEPENDENT NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR (FINANCE & AUDIT)

 (VOLUNTARY ROLE)

Role:                                  Independent Non-Executive Director – Finance & Audit 

Contract Type:           Voluntary Role

Commitment:       Board meeting once every six weeks which ordinarily takes place                                                 on a Thursday commencing at 7pm. Monthly commitment to review                                           and discuss the HFA Risk Register 

Salary:                        N/A – voluntary role  

Base:                      County Ground Offices, Widemarsh Common, Hereford HR4 9NA.                                                 Ability to attend meetings online available.

The HFA is the governing body for football across Herefordshire, responsible for developing, supporting and governing the game within the County in respect of approximately 10,000 regular active participants and a wide support network.

The HFA is inviting applications to join the Board of Directors, as an Independent Non-Executive Director with experience in finance and/or audit. We are looking for an individual with skills and experience in this area, who can help continue to drive the organisation forward. Experience of sport is not essential, but the successful applicant should have an interest in the development of grassroots football in the County.
