I’ve never played football before

It doesn’t matter! A number of clubs in the county offer sessions for complete beginners and mums who just want to get fit, active and have a good time whilst doing it! There is no pressure to play competitive football and you are free to come as you please, learn some new skills and have a kick about with other likeminded players.

I’m looking to play for fun and maybe play the odd friendly match

Herefordshire FA organise a development league for new players and those unable to commit to regular weekly fixtures. Development clubs still train every week – and there is no commitment to play the matches if you don’t want to, so you can just continue training for fun or fitness. Clubs in the development league play fixtures about once a month and it is a more recreational, friendly match but still with the reward of a trophy for the top team at the end of the season
