Last weekend saw the U10 and U14 girls clubs competing in the final two Herefordshire FA qualifying tournaments for the FA Pokemon Youth Futsal Cup.
In total across four boys and four girls agegroups over 50 teams and almost 500 players have taken to the futsal court over the past 2 months aiming to become county futsal champions and earn the right to represent Herefordshire in the regional rounds of this national competition.
Darren Braithwaite, who organised the qualifying tournaments with his team at Futsal Futures was impressed with the action on display; "It was great that not only did the number of teams taking part increase this year, but also the standard of play was better than ever before. I have every confidence the Herefordshire teams will fare well in the next round. Good luck to all the Herefordshire winners"
The 8 club winners will be joined by 6 school sides with the schools
competition still ongoing and set to be completed in the new year.
Herefordshire clubs and schools have a fine pedigree in this
competition, producing regional and national futsal champions on several
