Herefordshire FA team up with Herefordshire Mind
Herefordshire Football Association are delighted to announce that we will be working with Herefordshire Mind, a local charity who offer activities and services for people living with mental health problems. With Herefordshire Mind’s help and support, the Herefordshire FA are looking to help promote and raise awareness of mental health within football.
Scott Russell, Football Development Officer at Herefordshire FA and HFA Mental Health Champion, said: “We believe that everyone should have good mental health and wellbeing and that no-one should face a mental health problem alone. Football is a great gateway for local people to engage and gain a better understanding about mental health issues and also support family members, colleagues and friends who can be impacted by others well-being.”
David Harding, Support and Development Manager at Herefordshire Mind, said: “We’re really excited to be working with Herefordshire FA and to have the opportunity to raise awareness about mental health and engage with local football players and supporters.”
