Make A Difference Awards 2022

Dan Hoskins - The Together Award' Winner
Make A Difference Awards 2022

Recently former Youth Council Vice-Chair Daniel Hoskins won the BBC Hereford & Worcester ‘The Together Award’ for his work on the HFA Youth Council Podcast Series. He was one of three shortlisted for the award for great work done within the Midlands.
The other two nominees were Peter Martin, a Youth Engagement Worker who in partnership with his local police work together in the community to try and put a stop to Knife Crime. Another great project is from Reverend Amy Wearing, a Pastor, who’s Church Community Project looks to bring people together in a safe and warming environment.
Dan, who is very open about his disabilities, is one of life’s good guys who thinks of others before himself and no matter what challenges he’s faced growing up, he has met it head on with a positive attitude.

Congratulations Dan and you fully deserve to win this award!

If you are aged 16-24 and would like to be the voice of young people within the football community at a County level then why not join our Youth Council as we are looking for new members for the 2022-23 season. It is a great opportunity to get involved with County events,  3/4 day trips to St Georges Park through the FA Leadership Academy (FALA) and many more opportunities. They only meet once a month and they look to make the Council as accessible as possible for their members so it works for you!
