HSFA Announce Representive Squad Lists

After a Succesful Trial Period, Preliminary Squads for the U15 and U16 Rep Teams have been Released

On the 18th and 25th July the Herefordshire Schools Football Association held trials for their U15 and U16 Representative Teams.

Players from High Schools across Herefordshire were invited to attend and in total over 50 players were present across the two dates. The standards were high and the challenge was down to the team coaches to select the squads. After watching the players in action, the coaches were able to finalise two prelimunary squads who will now compete in friendlies at the start of the school year. From these the final 16 man squads and standby lists for the season ahead will be determined.

With 10 High schools being represented by players, the squads demonstrate the spread of talent within the county. Congratulations to all those selected.

Whilst last season the two representative squads competed in the ESFA U15 Inter-Association and U16 Inter-County Cup competitions, the decision has been made to join the 2018/19 Midland County Schools League for the season ahead. This will provide teams with a series of competitive league fixtures against other representative teams such as Worcestershire, Warwickshire and Staffrodshire. The winners will then go on to the regional finals against teams from the East Midlands.
